Guess What

Okay there isn't really anything to guess. I just felt like saying that. I have a couple of new pictures taken last night so they are very recent. I have a picture of him giving us his most convincing frown. We get to see it all the time so I guess I'll share the wealth. Oh and the other is Delson stretching his arm out in his sleep getting ready for disco to make its mad comeback.

Little Man Update

Okay we still have a kid and he's still happy.  There is a picture of him smiling big.  I wasn't there at the time, (I have seen other smiles though) but Kristen said Stephanie was running her hair over his face and he really liked that.  Karen and Stephyweffy came to visit.  They flew in on different days and flew out on different days, but it was fun nonetheless.  They got some good quality time in with the little man and Stephanie finally met him in person.  He still likes his sleep and it seems he gets cranky when he's awake, so he's just like his Dad.  

One Month Old and Growing Big

Delson is now one whole month old. I can hardly believe it. We had his one month doctor visit yesterday and he weighed 10 lbs 11.5 oz and was 23.5 inches long! He grew 3 inches in one month! Wow! He is a growing boy for sure. The doctor is very pleased that breastfeeding is going so well for Delson and so are we. Now I hope he just starts sleeping 6 hours at night. That would be very helpful. Here is a picture of Delson in a cute hat, sweater, and booties that my Aunt Darcy knit for him.

4 Weeks Old!

I am posting more pictures of the little boy. He sure is growing fast! I was looking at pictures of him at the hospital and could hardly believe how different and how much bigger he looks now. It's kinda sad how fast it is going by. But he sure is fun and cute and starting to smile back at us too!

Compare this carseat picture to the earlier post of him in his carseat when he came home from the hospital. He is SO big now!

I'm Making a Post Again

I decided to put up a couple pictures. Most likely against my wife's wishes. My last post was deleted so if she deletes this before you get to see it, at least I tried. If you get to see it, you must be a very blessed person. I got a picture of him just giving the finger. I didn't even have to coax him to do it. I think it was because Dean was there. He just does that for Dean I guess. But then again, Drew and Lindsey were there too, so it could have been for Lindsey...

3 Weeks Old!

Delson is 3 weeks old now and had his visit with the doctor for his circumcision on Wednesday. The procedure went well, even though Delson was a little upset and angry for a bit of the day, but he has done well ever since. At his appointment on Wednesday, the nurse weighed him at 10 lbs. He sure is a good little eater and growing quite quickly. He is even on to the next diaper size. He is also starting to smile at me when I smile at him. It's all very exciting. Here is a picture of him in a cute Hurley outfit that my Aunt Darcy gave him. You can see he doesn't have much of a jaw line anymore because his cheeks are filling out quite a bit.

Two Weeks Old

I'm changing Alex's post because I wanted to share with you some information about our two week old. It's hard to believe that more than two weeks have gone by since Delson's birth. The time has really flown and I can tell that he has changed so much already. At our post partum appointment for him, which was three days after his birth, the nurse weighed Delson in at 8 lbs 1 oz, which is normal of course for babies to lose that much weight right after birth. Then at Delson's first pediatrician appointment at one week old, the nurse weighed him at 8 lbs 12 oz! This was incredible because most babies just gain their birth weight back at 2 weeks and he was already past his birth weight at one week. In 5 days, Delson had gained 11 oz! Apparently my milk had come in and Delson was greatly enjoying it. And he still is greatly enjoying it, by the way. Alex was a very fat baby, so now we are thinking that Delson may follow in his father's footsteps. We will see. His double chin is getting larger and larger everyday. He has another appointment with the pediatrician this Wednesday for his circumcision and so it will be interesting to see what he weighs again. I will update the blog again once we know that information.

Momma and baby. Can I just say I am so excited because I fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans again! Today is the first day and I am so thrilled!
