Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Del and Daneen and family. The weather was nice and it was really good to see Dallon and Damon since they were home from school. We had yummy food of course and we enjoyed everyone's company, including Daneen's parents, Dick & Madge, who were in town. We spent Thursday, Friday and Saturday with them, and the girls hung out and decorated the house for Christmas and watched the babies while the boys went paintballing. It was fun to see Delson and Braden interact with each other more. Enjoy the pictures!

Just an update on Delson. I can hardly believe that he is almost a year old. Time has just flown. He is barely a baby anymore even though I call him a baby all the time, and pretty soon, we will have a baby around, so he will be the big boy. I can't believe that we are going to have 2 kids pretty soon. Our family is growing quickly, which is scary, but amazing and wonderful at the same time.

Delson opened a Birthday gift from Grandma Karen and Grandpa Walt early so that he could enjoy something new, and he seems to love his new airplane. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

One of Delson's favorite things when we go to the grocery store is when I give him a whole apple. He just gnaws on it the entire time we are in the store and it keeps him really quite and content. Here is a picture of him with an apple; he can bite into it pretty well with all those teeth. He is even getting his 7th tooth in right now!

Delson Update

I'm trying to update my blog more often and I have taken a few pictures of Delson lately, so I thought I would share. I bought him this very cute sweatshirt, hat, and mitten set from GAP and I got him all dressed up in it (minus the mittens) and took pictures. The hat is awesome. Sarah has a matching one in navy for Braden. The babies look adorable in them.

Yesterday Delson had a play date with 2 girls. Delson gets to play with Jaylie usually once a week when her mom, Krista, watches Delson while I go to work. And then this is the first time in a long time that Delson has seen Brea, but we decided that we have to do these play dates at least every other week from now on because the babies had fun and the moms did too. As moms it is really nice to have some girl time and share tips and ideas about the babies. We had a great time and are doing it again next week. I'm so grateful to have these girls so close by. Delson got really messy eating a sticky fruit rollup and he got to have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for the first time. He loved it!

And then, I decided to be crafty and copy an idea from this lady who comes up with all of these craft ideas and posts directions on her blog for anyone who wants to make them too. She is amazing. You can check it out if you want, but I decided to make some baby leggings and they turned out so cute and I put them on Delson this morning and they are awesome! I'm so happy and they were SUPER easy to make! Yeah....I can be crafty! And something else exciting. This morning I was pointing to a picture of a cow and saying, "The cow says 'Moo'" and Delson actually copied my "Moo" sound over and over! It was very exciting! He is learning so quickly!

Halloween Fun

Dean and Sarah and Braden stayed the night on Friday and we watched a couple of scary movies to get ready for Halloween. Then Saturday, we went to this pumpkin patch where they had a lot of fun things to do. They had a petting zoo and a corn maze and the babies loved it. Then Saturday night, we took the boys to our ward's Trunk or Treat. Sarah and I had a lot of fun carving the pumpkins and decorating the trunk. We think we had the best decorated trunk there. Delson was a lion and Braden was a penguin for Halloween. They looked so adorable!

Pregnancy and Delson Updates

I took a picture of my pregnant belly at 26 weeks. Sorry it is a week late.

Delson has changed so much in a month. Since we were in Anaheim a month ago, I feel like he is a completely different baby now. I can tell that he understands me so much more. It is amazing to see the drastic changes that babies make in just a matter of days. Before we left on the cruise, Delson was taking about 3 to 4 steps without holding onto anything. However, when we returned, he was taking 10-15 steps and now he can take 30 or more at a time before he falls or grabs onto something. He is just picking it up so quickly. He got a haircut and now he no longer looks like a baby; he looks like a little boy. He has 6 teeth now and he has learned how to put a ball in a basketball hoop and how to clap. He is just learning and growing so quickly it is amazing to watch. He is so fun now that we are able to interact with each other more. I love him more and more everyday!

Delson fell into the toy box that grandma bought for him. I thought it was pretty funny.

Delson's new thing is to climb up on the gate and whine when Momma is working in the kitchen. He just wants to be with me at all times.

Caribbean Cruise

Alex and I were lucky enough to get to go on another cruise to the Caribbean. This time we went with 3 other couples, of which 2 of the women are pregnant. We cruised with Tanya & Aaron, Kristen & Sean, and Kortney & Chase. Tanya is due with a boy 2 weeks after me, and Kristen is due with a surprise 4 weeks after Tanya. It is exciting that we are all having babies within 6 weeks of each other and we found this to be a great opportunity to get out without kids one last time before we add another to our families.

Our cruise left out of Miami. Our first 2 days were at sea, and then we visited Grand Cayman, then Isla Roatan in Honduras, then Belize, and finally Cozumel, Mexico. Our last day was again at sea. We had a wonderful getaway together and I'm so glad we were all able to make time for this trip in our busy schedules. Enjoy the pictures!

The next few pictures are of us in Grand Cayman. Tanya, Aaron, Alex and I all went snorkeling. We were able to snorkel over a shipwreck and a reef. It was really awesome. Then we met up with Kristen and Sean for lunch and enjoyed some leisure time on the beautiful Seven Mile Beach. There is a picture of the 3 pregnant ladies on the beach. The water was breathtaking.

This next set of pictures is of us in Roatan, Honduras. Here we all took a cab to a beautiful resort called Parrot Island Resort. The setting was gorgeous. We loved the cabanas and the water was delightful. We just enjoyed the setting and the water all day. The resort also had a pool that was beautiful. You can see a picture of me, Kortney, and Tanya in the pool under the waterfall trying to pose sexy. After our resort stop, we bartered with some of the locals while buying some souvenirs.

In Belize, we took about an hour drive out into the jungle. When we arrived, we hiked about 30 minutes deeper into the jungle while carrying tubes, and then we tubed down the river through various caves. It was an awesome excursion. While on our hike, our tour guide found a tarantula, which was huge and really freaky even though they are harmless. Towards the end of the cave tubing, everyone that wanted could swing on the rope swing. You can see Alex taking a good swing out over the water at the bottom.

Then, in Cozumel, Mexico, we took a ferry to Playa Del Carmen, which is on the mainland of Mexico and from there, we took a van out to the Tulum Mayan ruins. It was a beautiful day, but there was 96% humidity, so we were really sweaty walking around. After exploring the ruins and taking a bunch of pictures, we went swimming in the ocean to cool down. It was beautiful and so nice to take a dip after enduring all the heat. Our trip was awesome and we all hope to do another cruise in the spring or summer of 2011 to Alaska. We can hardly wait!
