Delson's 2nd Birthday

Delson is officially 2 years old now.  I can hardly believe it.  It's crazy how fast time flies.  He is such a big boy now.  He is in the middle of the terrible twos already, meaning he likes to hit and throw fits and he is SUPER possessive of his toys, but he is also very sweet at times and he is talking up a storm lately.  He is starting to form sentences and it is awesome to see him develop into a little boy.  This age is very exciting but definitely has its challenges.

For Delson's 2nd Birthday party, we decided to do a John Deere tractor theme.  He really liked it.  We had quite a few people over and he had 5 friends there too.  It was a lot of fun and he got some pretty great toys.

The next morning I caught Delson sitting on his new tricycle from Grandpa Del and Grandma Daneen while wearing his cowboy hat.  He is so clever and such a cutie.

Thank you to all the friends and family that came to the party and to all of those who sent gifts.  He got a lot of new things and he LOVES all of it.  His new toys have been keeping him busy the past couple of days and now we need a bigger house to hold it all.  Happy Birthday Delson!  I love you, my big boy!

Ward Christmas Party

This year our ward Christmas party turned out pretty awesome!  Our activities committee chair, Michelle, is amazing and so crafty and she came up with a great idea to do a Polar Express theme for Christmas.  I am on the activities committee, so I had the opportunity to help set up and it was a lot of work, but a lot of fun and the party turned out fantastic!  We decorated the hall outside of the gym of the church building like a train and everyone in the ward took turns sitting on the train and then the train "arrived" at the North Pole, which was the gym.  Just like in the Polar Express movie, we had hot chocolate chefs (the Young Men) and the hot chocolate was delicious.  We had breakfast for dinner and all of the kids wore there pajamas.  After dinner, a counselor in the bishopric read the Polar Express story and then another man led everyone in singing some fun Christmas songs before Santa and Mrs. Claus showed up.  It was a wonderful night and I think everyone will remember this ward Christmas party.  We probably had close to 300 people there and the whole night was a huge success!

Snow & Grandma's House

When we arrived home from Vegas, we came home to snow!  This was something new for Delson since he was too little to understand the snow last year, so he likes it.  It was beautiful to see our house covered in snow.  The snow makes me feel ready for Christmas!

We have also spent some time at Grandma and Grandpa Christensen's house lately.  It has been fun having the family together and seeing Braden, Delson and Kambria all interact.  Grandma Madge and Grandpa Dick came to visit for a few days too.  It was great to see them!  (And this time we actually remembered the camera.)

Thanksgiving in Vegas

This year we flew to Vegas for Thanksgiving.  It was so much fun and Delson is officially obsessed with airplanes now.  It was so fun to be all together with my parents and sisters and niece.  It was great to see Delson and Leila and Kambria play together.  It was just so nice to be together!  We hardly get time for that and I am so grateful that we were all able to make it.  Somethings we did include going to the temple with Stephanie and Trent, shopping at H & M with Steph, going to dinner at Roy's and seeing KA by Circque du Soleil with Alex for our 6th anniversary, seeing the 7th Harry Potter movie, taking the kids to the park, shopping with Miranda at the outlets, and lots of talking and laughing.  One of the best things about the trip was that Delson learned everyone's names and it was awesome to hear him say them!  He is really growing up and his vocabulary is expanding fast.  Thanksgiving was a blast!  I look forward to the next family gathering!
