Feeling Life

So last night while Daneen, Sarah, my sister-in-law, and I watched "Gone with the Wind", I felt the baby move for the first time. My books have told me that you usually feel life between 16-22 weeks and I am only 15 and a half, but I know it had to be the baby moving because I have never felt anything like that before. It felt like little tiny flutters in my lower region. It was wonderful and exciting! However, the movement is so light that I have to practically hold my breath to feel it, so it will be even more exciting as the baby continues to grow larger over the next few weeks and I get to feel more and more life in there. I love being pregnant! It truly is a miracle!

Evil Prank

So...the funniest thing happened today. We all pulled a very evil prank on Del. He hates mice so much and one of the cats caught and killed one in the house, so we decided we couldn't let it go to waste. We just had to pull a prank on him. I know it's mean, but it's also EXTREMELY funny! The video tells it all:

2nd Doctor's Appointment

So I had my 2nd OB appointment yesterday and I had my first ultrasound. It was really exciting because I got to see the little one that's growing in my belly and I even saw his or her heartbeat. I was sad Alex didn't come to that appointment so he could see it too, but he will definitely come to my next appointment. The next one will be the full blown ultrasound where we find out if we are having a boy or a girl and I can hardly wait until then. It is five weeks from yesterday and I will be 19 weeks. Yeah! I really want to know what we are having! It's all very exciting stuff!

Huntington Beach, CA

Last weekend I went to visit my best friend, Tanya. She and I have been BFF since 1st grade and she is also pregnant but due July 10. I hadn't had the opportunity to see her pregnant yet, so I wanted to visit her before the baby arrives. We had a really great time together. We went to El Pollo Loco and In-N-Out Burger, two of my favorite fast food places in California. They were really yummy. We also went kayaking in Huntington Harbor, where I used to live. We went to the beach twice, we attended the Newport Beach Temple, and we just had a lot of fun laughing, catching up, and spending great one-on-one time together. I also had a great time visiting with my aunts and my cousin, Amy. I had a really wonderful trip and I am sad it had to end so soon. I can't wait to see pictures of Tanya's little girl though. Pregnant

Ok...Finally I have decided to happily announce that I am 12 weeks pregnant today! Alex and I are very excited that we will have the opportunity to be parents by the end of this year. My due date is December 17th. We will find out the sex of the baby in about 8 weeks and we can't wait to know if we are having a boy or a girl. It will be fun to see what it is since Alex comes from a family of all boys and I come from a family of all girls. Alex thinks it is a boy because he claims he only shoots 'Y's, but I hope it is a girl because he needs a little princess and so do Del and Daneen. I really don't care what we have though. I'm just very excited to be having a baby! YEAH!

Happy 23rd Birthday Alex!

Today Alex turned 23 years old. Even though he is a big boy, he really really wanted a pinata for his Birthday. He asked for one last year and I didn't get one for him, so he never let me live that down until I got him one this year. I ended up getting him a Spongebob pinata because we both love that show and he seemed to really love it. We also had a yummy dinner of BBQ Bratwursts and he requested Rice Krispy treats with extra marshmallows on top for dessert. He is funny and still has a little kid inside of him, but I love him very much and he keeps me younger too. I hope he had a great Birthday!
