36 1/2 Weeks & Other News

I am 36 1/2 weeks now! The time is drawing near for Delson to enter the world. A couple of weekends ago Alex and I set up the stroller and car seat so we could figure out how to use it and get it all ready for the baby. However, Cleatus, our cat, still thinks he is the baby. And a week ago, we had some pretty strong winds in Tri-Cities and a whole bunch of tumbleweeds got stuck against the side of the house. I took a picture because I thought it was pretty crazy looking. 4 Years of Married Bliss

Yesterday was our 4 year anniversary. It's hard to believe that we have been married that long already. We decided we needed to get away for one last weekend together without children, so we stayed at the Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie, WA last night. It was wonderful! We both got massages and the food and room were exquisite. It was so relaxing. I thought I would post a couple of wedding pictures for good memories.

33 Weeks

Here is another belly picture for everyone. I am now 33 1/2 weeks along. We are getting closer and closer to baby Delson being born. I saw the doctor this last Wednesday and she said that my uterus is measuring a little small, so they are going to do an ultrasound in 2 weeks to make sure that Delson is still growing the way he should be. We aren't that worried about it and the doctor didn't seem worried about it either. I know he's growing just fine because I feel him kick around very often and the movements seem to be getting stronger and stronger the farther along I get. I'll keep everyone updated. I'm just excited to have another ultrasound this far along in my pregnancy! Woohoo!

Halloween

Last night we had a great Halloween. Alex's brother, Dean, and his wife Sarah came over for dinner. Sarah and I carved pumpkins while the boys played video games. We ate pizza, handed out candy to the trick-or-treaters, and watched a scary movie. We had a really great time! Here are a couple of pictures from our night:

I carved the crow and Sarah carved the witch. I love carving pumpkins! It was so much fun!

We dressed the cats up too. This picture makes me laugh because you can tell that Cleatus looks so pissed off with that pumpkin on his head. He did not like it at all.

Moo, on the other hand, didn't mind being Frankenstein. Our cats are so cute and they are great to put up with me for dressing them up.

Finally....Pictures of the House

I know that a lot of people have wanted me to post pictures of our house, so here they are. I am sorry it has taken me so long to post these pictures, but we finally just finished getting most of our furniture in. I am posting a ton of pictures and I still didn't get pictures of everything because it would just be too much and I don't want to bore everyone, so you will all have to come visit us sometime in order to see the whole house. We would love to have visitors!

This bookcase is one of my favorite pieces of furniture in the house. We got it at IKEA as we did most of our furniture. I LOVE that place!

The dining room is just behind the kitchen and to the right of the entryway.

The office room is big enough for a desk and a futon in case we have extra visitors. The office is still a work in progress.

This is a picture of the guest bathroom. I am not posting a picture of the guest bedroom because we don't have any bedding on the bed yet. Maybe I will post a picture when we get the bedding.

This is a picture of the master bedroom. I am not putting in a picture of the master bathroom because I just couldn't get a good picture of it and we also have a third bathroom, but everyone knows what a bathroom looks like, so all those pictures just aren't necessary. I hope these pictures satisfy everyone. And like I said, please come visit us. We would really enjoy having you!

High School Friends

Back in August I went to Bellevue for the weekend and I was able to see a few of my high school girlfriends. We had a great time together and they were so excited that I was pregnant. It actually surprised me how excited they were. Since we graduated 5 years ago, I am the only one in our class to have gotten married and now I am having a baby, so they were ecstatic. 30 Weeks

I'm a little over 30 weeks now! It's hard to believe I only have 10 weeks left. Alex and I took child birth classes Friday and Saturday of this last weekend and they were pretty informative. It was a little scary because one of the couples that was there on Friday ended up not coming back on Saturday because Friday night after class the wife went into labor. I thought that was pretty funny, but it also made me think that this baby can come at any time. She was only 36 weeks. So I need to be prepared for anything. You just never know. We watched a video of a woman giving birth and I was surprised to hear that Alex had never seen a live birth. He was really worried about it, but after the video was over, he said it wasn't bad at all and if he could watch someone else give birth, he could definitely see me give birth. I'm glad he didn't think it was that bad because I am going to need him for sure when I'm in the delivery room. The thought of this baby is becoming more and more real and I am so excited for the day he decides to be born. Here are some more pictures for you to enjoy:
