Steph and Trent's Graduation from BYU

My younger sister, Stephanie, and her husband, Trent, graduated from Brigham Young University at the end of April and Alex and I were grateful to be able to attend it.  Del & Daneen were so sweet to watch our kiddos for us for 3 days so that we could go.  The weather was gorgeous and the commencement and convocation ceremonies were awesome!  Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management and Trent received his Masters in Manufacturing Engineering.  We are SO proud of the two of them for their accomplishments and we wish them the BEST in their future together where ever their careers may take them.

Easter

We spent Easter weekend at Del & Daneen's house again this year and we had a blast.  Delson and Braden enjoyed playing in the new and exciting large dirt pile my in-laws have in their backyard and all the grandkids enjoyed playing on their playset.  We colored eggs, had an Easter egg hunt, searched for our hidden Easter baskets that the Easter bunny left behind, and went to church where we celebrated the life of our Savior.  It was especially nice because Alex's brother Dallon and his new wife Morgan were able to fly in from Utah and so the entire family was together.   It was a fun family weekend!

Kambria's Potty Trained

As soon as we got home from Newport Beach, I decided it was time to potty train Kambria.  For a couple of months before I trained her every time she pooped in her diaper she would come up to me and say, "I stinky," so I knew it was time.  She took to it SO well.  (I have an amazing pamplet that I think works wonders called "3 Day Potty Training."  If you are looking into potty training, I highly recommend this manual by Lora Jensen.)  And it's true.  By the end of day 3, she had it down.  I was lucky that she picked up pooping in the toilet so quickly too.  It took Delson 3 days to learn how to potty in the toilet, but going #2 took him almost a month to figure out.  I am SO grateful that Kambria picked it up so quickly!  And even on our most recent trip to Hawaii (which I will post about in the near future), Kambria only had one accident and it was because I was using the toilet.  She did perfectly on the two 6 hour flight segments and everything.  I am amazed and so happy to be done with diapers for nearly 6 months before the baby comes!  Hooray for big kids!

Newport Beach

In March our family traveled to Newport Beach, CA to visit my parents who were living there for a few months.  Alex only stayed for the weekend, but the kids and I stayed for a whole week.  We had a great time going to the Newport Beach temple with our best friends, Tanya and Aaron, spending time with my high school friend, Emily, visiting extended family, playing at the beach and going to Disneyland.  We were so busy that trip, I felt like I needed a vacation from my vacation when we got home, but I'm so glad we got to go and visit my parents for some time.  It was some much needed family fun time in the sun!  Thank you Mom and Dad for having us!  We truly had an AMAZING trip and made so many fond memories!

In this picture Delson is finishing the sentence, "I want to get off."  He was brave and went on ALL of the big kid rides, but he didn't like any parts that were dark and this one had a few dark tunnels.

I couldn't NOT purchase these pictures because they were priceless.  I love how Kali is covering her face at the end of Space Mountain and Delson has a death grip on my hand.

This picture is my ultimate FAVORITE.  Both Delson and Kali look like they might die!  Delson loved to tell everyone he met afterwards that he went on Splash Mountain and he would reenact the face he made for them.  He is such a funny kid.  We had an awesome Disneyland trip!
