Daddy/Grandpa Hour

Here are some pictures I have of me (Dad) and the two grandpas holding the little man. Oh, by the way, he's not a baby any more. He's officially a little man, so that's what I'm calling him from now on. I guess I should give an update on how things are going too. We had his first appointment yesterday and everything is going really well. He still has 94% of his birth weight which I guess is pretty good. He loves food apparently. He was looking jaundiced for a while, but we can tell a noticeable difference since the appointment we had. So that's good. He gets the hiccups a lot. He has them right now. And he still loves his mama more than me, even though I've fed him also. Kristen is still doing fantastic. Last night she slept pretty well because the little man slept about the same. He's been really awake lately and loves to look around and grunt. Okay bye.

Semi New Baby Boy

Okay, this is Alex and I am doing my very first post ever. Don't focus on that though because this post is about a new baby. I guess I should give you an update on how things are going. Last night sounds typical for the first night at home. Only a few hours of sleep at a time and a 3:30 run to Walmart to get some anti gas medicine. He seems to be doing a lot better this morning and isn't crying nearly as much. I still feel like he's been a very good boy and also very happy. He loves Mama and I think his favorite thing is to pass out in her arms... and feed a lot. I'm not going to say much more because for those of you that don't know me I am not a man of many words. Here are some pictures of Delson taken after we were allowed to leave the hospital and after we got home.

Brand New Baby Boy

It finally happened! Our little baby boy, Delson Alexander Christensen, was born today, which happened to be my due date. He is absolutely beautiful and doing really well. He was born at 5:47 this morning weighing 8 lbs 9.3 oz and 20.5" long. He also had a pretty decent sized head because it took me 4 hours of pushing and the doctor using a vacuum and forceps and quite a bit of ripping on my end to get him out. I'm glad the labor is finally over. Delson just didn't seem to want to come out. He liked being warm inside my belly I guess. He is doing very very well though and he is even breastfeeding like a pro. I'm so happy. Here are some pictures of our newest family edition:

Planning Ahead

NO....I have not yet gone into labor. Delson just likes to take his sweet time. I think he is cozy and warm inside my oven. But in planning ahead for the day he decides to arrive, the hospital has set up a "Newborn Gallery" where they post the pictures of the newest babies within a few hours of their arrival. We sure hope he comes soon. I really do not want to go past my due date.

10 Days & Counting....

I am due in only 10 more days and we hope that Delson will come sooner than later. We can't wait to see his face and hold him in our arms! Here is another belly shot with my hubby this time and we are standing in front of the Christmas tree we decorated last night. We are loving the Christmas season!

Baby Shower

My sister-in-law, Sarah, and I had a joint baby shower last Saturday. Sarah is due to have her baby by C-Section on January 25th. We are so excited to be pregnant at the same time! Gigi, one of Daneen's friends, threw the shower for us and it was absolutely wonderful. Thank you Gigi for an awesome shower! Here are some pictures:

Thanksgiving

I know I am posting this over a week late, but I thought I would still share my pictures from Thanksgiving. My mom and dad and little sister, Stephanie, and her boyfriend, Trent, came to our house this year for Thanksgiving. It was really awesome to celebrate this holiday in our own home. We had a really great time together cooking, eating, watching movies, and laughing. Here are some pictures:
