Time with the Extended Family

This past weekend, Alex's grandparents, Madge & Dick, celebrated their 50th Anniversary by having all of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren stay at their house in La Pine, Oregon. It was beautiful and we had such a wonderful time with all of the family. The weather was perfect and we even took family pictures. It was so much fun! Here are some pictures:

Me and the big boy. Delson had his 4 month doctor visit on Monday and he weighs 16 lbs 13 oz and is 27" long. He sure is getting big and giggling, rolling over, and sleeping 10 hours at night too. Love it!

Park City Vacation

Last week Alex, Delson and I spent a week with my parents in Park City. It was wonderful! Alex and I got to ski 3 of the days while Grandma looked after Delson. She loved it! It snowed everyday, so we had amazing snow for April skiing. I'm sad that our trip is over, but we had such a good time! Here are some pictures:

Kristen kept telling me she was going to update the blog and I was going to let her until I realized that while she's so busy I'm going to undermine her and update it myself (kids, don't try this at home).  She took Delson to the doctor yesterday because she has been wondering if he's been getting enough to eat.  For his length he's a little underweight I guess.  I can't honestly say I remember what the weight was.  But the doc told her that he was 26 1/4 inches long.  And for 3 months that is around the 100th percentile.  I didn't think you could rate somebody up to the 100th percentile like that, but if I happen to be wrong, feel free to attempt to correct me on the subject.  I enjoy a challenge.  So anyway, I'm trying to make Kristen eat more calories, but it's understandably difficult as she has cut out even more foods from her diet.  She doesn't eat soy, wheat or citrus fruits any more in an effort to reduce Delson's gas that much more.  He has been happier lately.  He likes to be entertained by inanimate objects now, which means that we don't have to be his slaves any longer... Well, to an extent anyway...  Yesterday Kristen and I took Delson to the mall for a little bit.  We tried to have dinner at Azteca.  That turned into one of us walking around the mall holding the little man so he can look at stuff and be distracted from his need to fuss.  I found out he really likes pop machines.  The kind that have the big clear glass and let you see all of the different bottles.  He liked the bright lights and different pops.  He also likes the little booths that take a bunch of pictures.  It had a little mirror in it to keep him entertained.  That was funny.  If Kristen is feeling ambitious she might put those little pictures on the blog.  Maybe she will need some encouragement.  Oddly enough, I don't have much more to say.  I'm pretty sure that Kristen will have to edit this post or make a new one to fix my information, but I'm okay with that.

Blessing Day

Delson was blessed on Sunday and he looked so cute all dressed up in white. A lot of Alex's family came to participate and my parents came up from Las Vegas too. It was so nice to see all of the family there for us and our little boy. Alex did a wonderful job and I am so grateful to have him for my husband.

Delson is also passing off some milestones. I took a picture of him up on his arms holding up his head yesterday. He is changing so quickly. Here are some pictures of him in his blessing outfit as well as some other cute happy pictures:

Cry Cry Cry

Hi. Hello. How are you? I'm good. Thank you for coming to the blog to see if there is a new post. As you've probably noticed you may not have read this post before so it is quite possible that it is new. As you may have guessed from the title, yes, Delson cries a lot for the past two days. It is really loud and sounds like he hurts a lot. The other day he was crying hard and I had to check to see if he had broken bones. Luckily he didn't have any. I was glad about that. He is really gassy and completely and utterly not happy with it. Other than that he is still big and still a baby. Dallon came home finally and we're glad to see him. I just realized this post sounds kind of negative. On a more positive note, he did sleep 8 hours last night and when he's in a good mood he smiles a lot and tries to talk with us. I guess that should make up for all the negativity.

2 Months Young

So I, Kristen, am finally writing again. Alex has kinda taken over the blog. Who would have known? I'm very grateful for all of his posts though. He just loves his little boy as you can tell.

Delson had his 2 month appointment today. It is hard to believe how big he is getting already. He is 25" long which puts him in the 97th percentile and he is 13 lbs which puts him in the 75th percentile. He is growing so quickly and time is just flying. It is so funny to see him next to his new cousin because even though they are only 2 months apart, Delson is SO much bigger it seems like. It's incredible what a difference 2 months makes.

My aunts came to visit over the weekend and we had a great time. They really enjoyed watching Delson while Alex and I went on a Valentine's Day date. Thanks for coming Aunt Pam and Aunt Darcy! I had such a good time with you and I'm so glad that you got to see Delson! After his bath one night while they were visiting, he just talked and talked and talked to my aunts. He was all smiles and coos. It was awesome! I love it when he talks and smiles. Those are the best moments ever! Here are some pictures:

Time To Compare Cousins

Okay we just saw Dean and Sarah's baby Braden Dean again tonight and stole away some pictures while we were there.  I put up a brand new picture of Delson so you can compare with a couple pictures of brand new Braden and see how much they look or don't look like cousins, however you want to see it.
