1st Trip to Disneyland

Grandpa Del and Grandma Daneen so generously decided to take our family as well as Dean and Sarah's family to Disneyland for a few days.  We flew down on Wednesday and spent Thursday and Friday at Disneyland and then spent some time with family and friends on Saturday before flying home on Sunday.    Delson and Kambria are still a bit young to really understand Disneyland and thoroughly enjoy it all, but I think Delson still had a pretty good time.  Neither Delson nor Kambria were big fans of any rides that went into the dark, so we tried to keep them on the outside rides.  Maybe next time they will understand enough not to get scared on the dark rides.  We had a good time, but 2 days at Disneyland was plenty for kids of these ages.  I think it will be much more fun in a few years from now.  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for a great trip!  We look forward to the next one.

Delson was scared while riding the roller coaster, but after it was over, he wanted to go again!   He was such a big boy....he actually ended up riding the Matterhorn with Mommy and Daddy the very next day and he did great!

Easter

We spent Easter weekend at Del and Daneen's house and had a great time.  The boys went on an Easter egg hunt and got easter baskets and we had some very yummy food.  We also watched The Ten Commandments, one of my favorite Easter traditions, and we played the new Electronic Banking Monopoly game.  It was a lot of fun.  (As a side note....There is no cash in the new Monopoly game, just debit cards, and the money is in hundreds of thousands and millions.  It's awesome.)  We had a very nice family Easter weekend and enjoyed celebrating the wonderful message of the life of the Savior and the miracle of His resurrection.  Enjoy the pictures:

Recently...

Kambria is walking a lot more now than in that video I posted from Park City.  Whenever she is standing and she wants to go somewhere, she walks until she falls down and then she crawls.  She is getting better at it everyday.  Delson is talking more and more and really understanding a lot.  It is hard to believe that a year ago he was where Kambria is now as far as language development goes.  It is incredible to see the difference in just one year.  Child development truly is a miraculous change that I am so grateful to be apart of and witness.  Delson LOVES playing with his Legos and building towers, airplanes and helicopters out of them.  He is also actually starting to sit still and watch TV.  He particularly LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and America's Funniest Home Videos.  He will come up to me or Alex and say "Watch people falling" and when we turn on AFV....he will sit there the entire hour with us and watch it and say "ouch" and laugh when people fall.  It is pretty dang funny.  We love our growing and ever changing children.  They bring so much joy to our lives and even though I definitely get frustrated with them at times, I would never go back to life before children.  They are awesome little individuals.

Park City Skiing 2011

We spent a week in Park City visiting my parents and Steph and Trent.  We had some good times skiing and chasing the kiddos around the house and up and down the stairs.  We especially enjoyed watching Kambria take her first steps and seeing Delson play in the snow for the first time.  We also got to see Alex's brothers, Damon and Dallon.  It was great to see so much family and catch up on life.  Enjoy the pictures:

Yeah for Spring!

I can hardly believe that it is finally the first day of spring and I am so excited for spring and summer to finally be upon us.  I hope that the winter sicknesses are behind us now and we can move forward to warmer days and healthier bodies.  The last two weeks have been a whirlwind of sickness at our house.  We went to Park City from February 26 to March 5 and the day we left for our trip down there, Delson developed a cough, which of course Kambria ended up getting.  This was a cough and cold that lasted for 2 weeks.  Poor Grandma Karen and Grandpa Walt as well as Alex ended up getting it.  When we returned from Park City, I took Kambria to the doctor, and she was diagnosed with an ear infection.  Then, just as the kids were getting over their colds, they caught the stomach flu.  It was a nasty flu that started with vomiting and ended with 4 days of diarrhea.  Delson had it first and no one else got it for the next 4 days so we thought we were good, and then Kambria got it.  So it made for the LONGEST stomach flu ever and we are so glad it is over now.  Poor Alex got that too, but somehow I managed to dodge both the cold and the stomach flu.  However, the stomach flu gets me so mentally that I pretty much didn't eat for a week and I lost nearly 10 pounds.  We are all doing well now and I just hope we can stay away from any more sickness for awhile.  We have had the stomach flu in our house twice already since January and I think that is enough for the year.  To more happier news, the kids are so much fun and I have a lot of great pictures to post from Park City and just recently.  I am also learning how to transfer videos to my computer, so hopefully there will be some new videos posted shortly as well.  Sorry for the long delay between posts.  Once I get behind, it is hard for me to want to catch up.
